Participate in a cross-country project by making a “Catch of the Day” bay to be given as a gift to a delegate at Quilt Canada. Go to http://quiltcanada2012.ca/pattern-catch-of-the-day-bag/ for details about this “maritime” creation. The pattern and instructions can also be found by clicking the link and samples will be available to see at the December meeting. It has been suggested the we appliqué a salmon on our bags. Fat Quarter Exchange
Here’s a new way to build a natural connection among Canadian quilters, share experiences and discover what you have in common. We’re asking you to choose Your favorite Fat Quarter, label it with your contact information (address label), place the fabric and label in a small zip lock bag and send it to the address below. These will be small gifts for the delegates who, in turn, will be asked to make something ‘interesting’ with their new treasure and then contact the donor and let them know what was made, maybe even share a picture. Who knows, you might just connect with a new best friend!
Please send your Fat Quarter to:
